>>12505078>did you learn ancient greek/latin or aramiac or w/e to translate these early documents or are you just a guy who clicked some stuff and read it.I know bits and pieces of theological importance, and I’ve referenced many a commentary which explains textual differences between manuscripts, alternative translations, etc.
Speaking the original languages fluently isn’t really possible and there are many specious verses that we really can’t translate. It’s unfortunate. There is also a lot of history, archaeology, etc. that you need to study in order to know what the hell certain verses mean.
As for just clicking on stuff, lol what do you think the professors actually do? They scroll through research databases for interesting articles mostly, just like the rest of us.
