They've invented plenty of shit related to the medical sector. It's just that rich private companies buy out all of the patents. The biological R&D for pharmaceuticals and general biology research in the US has been a joke outside of academia in the past decade.

Medical science has peaked. There are no cures to be found for diseases like cancer/brain tumor, diabetes, alzheimers, parkinson, rheumatic disorders, autoimmune disorders, neuropathy
