What book would you recommend for a physics undergrad to develop more intuition for how to construct mathematical proofs?

Taking a quick glance at this book it's already better than "How to Prove It". If you graduated high school and passed your math classes then that is already too simple material for you. Just dive into a real mathematics textbook that interests you. You will find proofs that are difficult to write. Get used to it. Learning how to do something for the first time using just hints and clues is the name of the game.

A PDF of OP's book is trivial to find with a Hooli search.
