>>12502708Dude your brother sounds a lot like me, although even worse off. When I was young they put a lot of effort into pushing me to act "normal".
As a kid I didnt really get communication at all, or understand social cues, which got me in lots of trouble.
Anyways as an adult my parents more or less forced me to move out into the world. First few jobs I had were incredibly painful experiences. Even now I usually end up get fired from places because im just too weird, or more common is that my hours are just reduced gradually until I’m only scheduled 4 hours a week, then they just stop scheduling me altogether.
I think you should see about getting your brother disability, or perhaps some extremely niche job. Trying to make someone like him go out in the world and interact with neurotypicals is pretty cruel. I understand you think he isnt trying, and maybe that’s true, but chances are even if he does try, he will still fall very short of the standards NT's hold him to.
The world is very cruel and unkind towards atypical people like him. You'd probably be setting him up for lots of unpleasant interactions by making him work at a grocery store.
Customers don’t care if you’re a sperg, they will abuse you for being weird or for making them uncomfortable. Most coworkers also have no sympathy and only view him as a problem.
Just my opinion.
