Monkeys surfed atlantic ocean

Did monkeys from Africa surf all the way to South America? As we know, monkeys originated in Africa and apparently they got to South America by holding to a raft and surfing through the waves and thunderstorm of the Atlantic ocean

Scientifically speaking, how is this possible? They would've needed a minimum of one month to complete the travel under the best conditions, they would've died within a couple of days without water and obviously since they are monkeys there's no way they planned and bagged food for the voyage
