You can get by with basic calculus and statistics to start and learn more as you go. The books in pic related from the stupid questions thread are pretty good.

I went passed Multivariable Calculus level (Calc. 3), honestly up to Calc. 2 should suffice. Stats is also required.

Math is not at a high level, if youre just starting and want to see the math level in your first two years check out book in pic realted. Apart from that learn stata or python and read two different books about macro and microeconomics both by mankiw.
