Does anyone else feel like the academic system in STEM has gotten far too bloated? There are positions that require a PhD that someone with a Master and experience could also do, and it feels like recruiters pay more attention to the title someone has than anything else.
And that's not even considering that the amount of graduates is way higher than the amount of jobs available in academia or industry.
