Entry level media here. I have a question for you autisanons about "halving" a number. I currently work as the lead tech for a lab where we just calibrated a new instrument to run CMP's and the problem is the samples that we get hemolyze and then we cannot run the tests accurately. I think I have a solution and that is to dilute the sample with DI water, but besides calling it a dilation factor what other words describe halving something in mathematical terms? I wish to build a case and present it to the pathologist so we can thus prevent having to redraw blood from patients.
