Making magnets with primitive tech. So I often think about if I was sent back in time, could I make electricity. Just ignoring the obvious language barriers and getting killed shit. If I wanted to make a magnet. Could I just soften up some iron, then rub a cat skin to a glass or wood rod to charge it. Then hold the charged rod close to the soft iron to align the metal atoms. Then when it cools it should be a permanent magnet? Then when I make another magnet, just use my magnet I just made ad infinitum
