Nobody wants to hear it, but the harsh truth is that about half to two-thirds of the students currently being admitted to college have absolutely no fucking business there, and would be far better off going to a community college to get some basic certification or an apprenticeship program for a trade instead of struggling through a four year program and, at best, barely managing a C average and getting a degree in underwater basket weaving or, at worst, failing out in year three or four with $30-40K in student loans and nothing to show for it.
