What's up with people saying that not everyone is able to do higher math? Solution in math is always included in the problem, surely even the biggest of retards can copy the process given and arrive at the correct conclusion?

i once taught a tard to perform 2 digit addition. when i began wrangling him he had been doing one digit addition where the sum was still a one digit number. 2 digit subtraction was pushing the limits for him. he was a diligent learner and studious tard. quite literally the ramanujan of tards. his mathematical prowess among the hurs and durs astounded me. given 100 000 years in a vacuum im sure i could have had him integrating teichmuller spaces into eliptically curved holomorphic real fields or at least be able to compute problems structured in the right way. in this lifetime? maybe 3 digit x 3 digit multiplication with terminating decimals.

hope that makes sense. so yes most people could but time and resources needed would be too much.

this is honestly me. I've taken all calculus and done well but only because I was shown how to do the problems and I'm good at organizing things into steps.

Any tips at improving my problem solving skills?

depends what you mean by "higher math"
something like "slope = derivative, ingegral = area under curve, muh power rule" isn't too difficult imo, but getting much further beyond that takes a decent amount of memorization and effort, and the effort required is inversely proportional to intelligence
so a midwit with little motivation won't get very far unless forced, which is a waste of resources on the part of the educator
