>Dinosaurs weren't discovered until 1812 by William Buckland.
>William Buckland was a fossil hunter for fossilized poop before his "dinosaur discovery
>He continued to live in Corpus Christi College and, in 1824, he became president of the Geological Society of London. Here he announced the discovery, at Stonesfield, of fossil bones of a giant reptile which he named Megalosaurus ('great lizard') and wrote the first full account of what would later be called a dinosaur.
DESU it sounds like he's just a boomer who started a huge business in creating dinosaurs for financial gain and fame. There is literal zero reason for bones to fossilize and be preserved as bones. There is no such thing as dinosaur bones with their original matrix. All the dinosaur exhibits in museums have used artists to shape bones to "fill in" the missing ones. I can't help but think this technique is used to fake ALL dinosaur bones.
