Yes, Poisson Clumping means that random things tend to clump together. Basically if A happens, the most likely time for the next occurrence of A is right away. For it to happen immediately, you have a probability of P(A). For it to happen later, it needs to not happen and then happen, which is P(A) * P(not A), which is lower. For it to happen even later, it needs to not happen, then not happen again, then happen, which is even more unlikely, and so on.
