>>12485450I'm not sure if what I'm about to say is a better explanation or if it's more vague, but my question is that given a point somewhere in space, I want to know if it is possible to predict when the Earth will pass through the point, and conversely, given a time (let's say month and year), is it possible to determine the Earth's displacement.
In my initial question I was considering a point on Earth's surface but I did not take into account the rotation of the solar system itself which complicates things significantly so I'm dialing it back and just want to know if it is possible to find the planet's position (or I guess it is more accurate to say the planet's displacement).
