caucasians have more body hair than blacks or asians. this is likely a combination of the climates of where they lived, and a history of more frequent, stable civilizations in which shaving could take place (mesopotamia, greco-roman, egypt, etc.)
iirc there is a tribe in south america where the women are naturally hairless. my girlfriend is native american and only has body hair on her armpits, crotch, and lower calves; the rest of her is functionally hairless.
