>>12481756There are ~40k cases of bell's palsy in the US per year.
That is roughly 1 in 8000 per year.
The pfizer trial observed 4 cases out of the roughly 40000 test subjects (1 in 10000).
1 in 10000 is close enough to 1 in 8000 to say it just looks like the normal rate.
NOT SO FAST.
The 4 cases all occurred in the test group that received the vaccine (not the placebo) so the rate was really 1 in 5000.
1 in 5000 is still pretty close to 1 in 8000 so what's the big deal?
The expected 1 in 8000 is PER YEAR.
The 4 cases in the pfizer trial occurred within 2 months (really 48 days but im being charitable) of receiving the vaccine.
Converting the PER YEAR rate to the PER 2 MONTHS rate gives an expected 1 in 48000 per 2 months.
So we have an observed 1 in 5000 per 2 months from the trial compared to an expected 1 in 48000 per 2 months.
These joggers diluted the rate by a factor of 12 to make it look normal.
What else are they being dishonest about?
