>>12480925I'm assuming you're just starting at uni. If you actually want to do some sort of ecology / field biology work then it's better to:
1) get a degree in statistics or math and a degree in english or philosophy. It only matters that you understand appropriate field statistics, can manipulate biological data, and can write coherently.
2) work with an ecology / environmental lab during your undergrad. You'll learn 10x the relevant biology by doing it instead of studying it.
3) as soon as possible, intern at the places you want to work. No idea what it is given your post, but always think about what you want to do 5 years from now and put yourself as close to it as you can now.
