Worst case scenario you spend a summer learning to do babby tier web dev and then get a relatively cushy job, you're fine (assuming the software market doesn't get completely fucked). I think you are making the correct choice. If you get bored with your calculus sequence and whatever retarded intro physics courses they make you take, just remember, things get a lot better and a lot more interesting once you start learning stuff like real analysis and abstract algebra.
