I was arguing with a retard that anyone, for instance, could measure the speed of light, the distance to various astronomical objects, or the chemical composition of different substances and if they used good methodology they would almost certainly get the exact same results regardless of the time, place or cultural context in which they did it. Their direct response to that statement was that no, in fact cultural context is intimately woven with science as a practice, and that the scientific method cannot argue for itself. Scientifically speaking, how can I make sure this person never enters the hard sciences? Why do these people even exist?
