Indonesia is the best position for spaceport you could come up with

The equator is the lowest costs delta-v launch site on earth because it's the fastest moving place on earth.
You get ~460 m/s for free launching from there and it lets you get equitorial orbits without orbital manuvering which saves more delta-v.

that's why Ariane is so good at geostationary satelites - it launches from Kourou, which is almost on equator
also why US launches from Florida and Boca Chica basically on Mexican border and Russians launch from Kazakhstan (or launched)
