Why is preferential hiring of women allowed? My university's president just announced targeting hiring in my faculty to increase the presence of women, as well as ensure 'equitable pay'. I suspect equity of pay is alluding to something nefarious considering everybody is of course receiving the same wages for equivalent work.
Is my university particularly cucked or is STEM academia in every institution corrupted? There's no way I can stay in academia for a PhD if it continues going this way.
