>>12479240I'm convinced that optimum theory is the foundation for the Cerebras Wafer Scale Engine, i.e. the fastest computer chip ever which was unveiled a few weeks ago... development began on it approx 6 months after optimum theory was first presented, and I run in simular circles as the company's CEO. Anyway, according to their own documentation the chips architecture is literally the optimum theory automaton no matter what they want to call it. It is literally a 1.2 trillion cell grid running u = e / s from each node with real numbers in a von neurmann neighborhood (though on paper they use the variables y, b & x rather than u, e and s, which of course is irrelevant)
The Cerebras chip is already being used by the US military to model AI and nuclear reactions...
And honestly that was the entire point of optimum theory... to jump start a new enlightenment leading, hopefully, to "upload" in time for (at least) my children to have the option of immortality.
Elon Musk talks frequently in interviews about just "trying to chart a future that is optimist", and that's really what this has always been about. Frankly I had been depressed for years. I am an educator by trade. 3 years ago I visited a public school that did not have a science program, they were taking public funds for science and calling their art class, "science". I talked to students there who were in 7th, 8th grade and had never learned even about cell theory. That was when I began typing up optimum theory. If not me, then who?
