I was told that the coronavirus vaccine will change your DNA? Is this true? I've done some basic research and it sounds and seems false.

Not according to what is published
There are viruses that can change your DNA, but they are not involved in the vaccine.
You almost certainly have already had a retrovirus alter your DNA at some point in your life anyway.

Nah it just introduces viral mRNA into your cells which produces a harmless viral protein (in this case the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2), it has nothing to do with your DNA.

Adding onto this, in the scenario that the sequence is integrated back into your genome, which can occur with some viral infections, the fact that it encodes a harmless protein means that in the rare scenario in which integration occurs, it would most likely be harmless

It looks like viral RNA is different from mRNA, and also requires reverse transcriptase from the virus to be incorporated. Is there any mechanism for just mRNA by itself to be incorporated into host cell DNA?

I doubt it's harmless, if I got that right in this case the cell wouldn't stop producing the protein that your immune system is aiming for. It may stress immune system.

One more thing I need to ask. Usually, as far as I understand, most artifical mRNA is made with techniques used by HIV.
Wouldn't HIVs primer, if infected, bring in that gene or are these different enough?
