I know im not so smart but i had to ask this questiong. Could the universe actually be 6k years old due to special relitivity. I know we are moving through space all fast and the faster you go the more time slows down so could the bible be right?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTn6Ewhb27k

If anything, the universe should actually have no beginning.
Since science suggests that the whole universe contracts the further back you go in time, and since compressing matter in an ever smaller volume dilates time, my hunch is that time just keeps dilating at a rate that surpasses even that of the most motivated post-op tranny, until asymptotically reaching infinity in the backward direction.

Even if we were moving at reletevistic speeds compared to the rest of the universe (which Earth is not), it wouldn't matter as our own frame of reference has sure as shit experienced more than 6000 years. "frame of reference" just means that, even if we were going super-fast, we wouldn't feel anything any different. Time dilation is freaky though, don't sweat it if you don't wrap your head around it at first.

It's not even the bible which says it's 6000 years old. That's one fanboy monk's interpretation. If the old hardline pope is down with an old Earth and evolution, you'd think the other Christians would listen about just what the fuck the bible says.

That's where you're wrong. The faster you go the more time slows down when you measure the time of your surroundings. And since everything is relative, your time slows down to an outside observer, but not to you.

are they wrong? its probably the best info we have but it's not definitive so who cares what you believe. these people believe in much crazier things like all humans being born as little rocket scientists and humanitarians and everyone is equal and nothing bad happens.
