I've started taking Lactobacilus acidophilus to help with my severe lactose intolerance (confirmed by lab tests). However, I find that the supplements themselves give me diarrhea as well.

This is my second time experimenting with L. acidophilus. The first time I gave up after the diarrhea didn't subside after two weeks. This time I've tried taking ginger for the last week as well, but that hasn't had any impact.

Any other ideas?
