>has it become outdatedHell no. Today's AI is actually an statistical algorithm from 40+ years ago. It's that we just start having powerful enough computers to run it. There are still more area of AI that can't be done with mere computation power. Patter recognition and learning machine is another good book if you want more math/stats-heavy book.
