Let's settle this once and for all /sci/, what is IQ good for and not good for? Is it the general metric people make it out to be? Which official test is considered the most useful? Should I become a custodian at a Walmart and work there until I'm 50 and then end myself for scoring 112 on Mensa.no's test?

Pretty much all psychometrics, IQ included, are bullshit. There's way too much subjectivity for it to mean much of anything.

Incredible intelligence is one of many things needed to change the world, but we're talking about becoming a successful scientist or engineer or programmer, intelligence is well below factors like working methodically, being disciplined, being emotionally stable. Most of the people that accomplish great things aren't geniuses, they just get started on a problem and work at it until they've achieved something. Intelligence just makes it go a bit quicker, but life is plenty long for anybody to accomplish shit if they just have their shit together.

At 160 or higher is when you start to see destabilization in cooperation, so you should be considered a breeding animal to produce the population of humanity that would make up the optimal IQ point, 130-155IQ.
