Why are there "trans women" and not "trans pirates", men who want a leg and an eye removed so they can have a peg and an eyepatch? Every trans I've seen is just a caricature of a woman, same as our "pirates" are caricatures* of real-life pirates. Is there a scientific basis for wanting to become a caricature, or is it just plain old mental illness?
>*Fun fact: our entire notion of how pirates "talk" and "act" came from a single actor, Robert Newton, who invented the "Arrr" shitAnother fun fact: I frequently post with images of pic related, Tomoko Kuroki, because I feel a kinship with her character and her experiences as fictionally depicted in her anime, as they reflect my own battle with Asperger's when I was younger. I've yet to dress up or attempt to talk like her, or even speak Japanese, because I'm a middle-aged male and it would look fucking retarded and weird. I just use her image a lot and leave it at that. I dress and act like a run-of-the-mill middle aged guy and don't feel a single bit socially constrained or victimized.
So am I the one who's insane because of some fictional "spectrum"?
