For me it's integrals. How does the area depend only on the endpoints and not what happens in between?
If F(a)=A and F(b)=B every possible f=dF/dx has the same area under it?

Particle accelerators. Read about a guy who built a primitive accelerator when he was a senior in highschool. I can't fucking grasp how you get the particles to go exactly where you want them. I know magnets are involved in the operation but that's about it.

I don't get the question. It does depend on what's happening in between. That's why you integrate the function between a and b. The function represents what's happening in between.

the derivative is unique, so for every function F you choose with endpoints A,B you get a different dF that correctly gives you the different areas.

The anti-derivative is not unique but it doesn't matter as the constant term get's cancelled after F(b)-F(a). (the "shape" of the anti-derivative is unique)

Calc 1 is just stokes theorem for 1 dimension. Multivariable calc is just stokes theorem for 2 dimensions.
