whats the purpose for being gay? i mean if there was a gay gene it would literally erase itself from the gene pool within the first generation. your sole mission in life is to procreate, it's the one natural activity that release the highest amount of dopamine apart from artificial drugs, your brain places a higher value on intercourse than food or any other activity

Nah that's still highly reductive. We are social creatures not solitary tigers and spiders. The mechanisms evolution acts on with a population of prosocial vs. asocial creatures is vastly different.

For example asocial creatures find communicative traits mostly useless due to cost with no reward. Humans have devoted massive amounts of neurological resources to the tasks of talking.
