You can probably get E85 on a pump station for bit over 2 dollars per gallon, let's be generous and say that's the price of just the alcohol (it's not), that makes for 50 cents per litre.
What kind of spirit can you get at that price?
A somewhat cheap wallmart wodka bottle is somewhere around 8 bucks per litre and that's only 40% alcohol so you are talking about 20 bucks per little, 40x price.
Surely you don't think there hasn't been single store or chain who had the bright idea of just using industrial alcohol and selling it?
