Ok, so I've been looking into the Kola superdeep borehole in Russia. The temperature in the hole reached 180 degrees celsius.
My question is, why don't we do something like this again, on a larger scale? Build a steam turbine power plant, and boom, you have unlimited geothermal energy, with no wasteful byproducts like radioactive waste, or carbon emissions. It seems to me that geothermal power would be a no brainer.
