I've been wondering how the NCEPs get their weather data. I know there's a lot of supercomputers involved for forecasts and shit, but they gotta have at least some on-site sensors around the world to back it up, right? If so where are they? Do we have a map available? Fuck, where do I even begin to look for answers?
