A/B in terms of k is ratio of two numbers, which been moved by same distance on axis so ratio itself is broken but they reminded the same.
A/B in terms of m is ratio of which members are add to m in original relation but with m as extender of both numbers.
By the way you can use those equation and all it's form on image blending of same picture with various coffitients or A/1.
