There's a lot of things you can do to work around
I think people really fail to realize just how little food we need to be optimal. There's correlation between DNA damage and overeating.
When your food is more nutrient dense, you require less of it.
You really just need to condition your body to run off fats and oils.
Honestly most the green shit around you can be juiced. This is very high quality plant oil thats been untouched by agri industry.
I know that sounds pretty peasant, but I'm talking purely for the oils which is some of the highest quality energy sources you can get with easy access.
When you ferment your food, the nutrition is much more bioavailable. It's essentially pre-digestion, and it also helps create a more symbiotic gut biome that can make more use out of the foods you consume.
There's also quite a bit you can do to your food to make it more nutrient dense
There's a lot more you can do than is commonly known or taught.
And again, I mentioned hunting (and fishing), which is free and will give you an insane amount of calories and nutrition from much healthier wild game.
