How do you inhale an oral (steroid) medicine?
There are two versions of Budesonide: an oral and an inhaled version. I only have the oral medicine, but I need to treat my lungs. Is it possible?

I have autoimmune disorders that normally attack my colon. It is going after my lungs now. First problem is dosage. Inhalation is around 300 mcg or less, while the oral version is 3mg or 3000mcg.

Inhaling it won't make the medicine more effective for your lungs, it enters your bloodstream in what should be the same dose whether it's absorbed in your colon or lungs. Don't be a schizo and just take it normally. Also, the idea that your issue is "moving to your lungs" sounds like a sketchy self diagnosis, how did you come up with that? You should call whoever prescribed it to you tomorrow

No my immune system just tries to kill me on occasion. Almost succeeded twice. Ulcerative colitis, psoriasis, arthritis, eye inflammation, lung inflammation. I'm a mess. All from auto immune disorders. Anyway I'm doing the second filter. I'll post the clear result.

You might be able to use something like pic related. A real inhaler makes better aerosol though. In terms of dose, you should have recorded how much medicine you disolved and how much water you used. You can calculate your dose from there.

I've posted some of this already. The pill I started with has 3mg of Budesonide. I need 300mcg. So I measured out 10 equal little measuring cups of 2.5g medicine water. Lost some of course doing this, but the dose should still be therapeutic. I now have my dose. Just need to figure out a way to inhale.

Well I did it. I sucked 2.5 grams of filtered water and medicine into my nostrils. Sorry I couldn't give you a picture for this. So far no effect. Just like everything in my nasal passages is wet. Maybe a little bit of irritation, like a little pepper. So I guess I'm not dead yet, but the question is will it help? Got 9 more doses. We shall see.

Depends on what you want desu.
Inhaled steroids make sense when you have lung issues and want to reduce systemic effects. However if the colon is affected then oral formulations make more sense for the same reason, but will end up having greater systemic side effects due to a higher dosage.

I'm not kill. Well not yet.
I reduced my oral dose of the drug so I could do the inhalation one. So far I'm not seeing much clinical effect, so maybe it was mostly water. I'll do another dose tonight. The coffee filter maybe gets rid of too much of the budesonide?

I just inhaled dose two. Spilled a little so likely won't have 8 more doses. It seems to open up my lungs a little. So I think some of the drug is reaching there. I didn't cough as much today as the last few. I'm going to continue the experiment.
