Why is the kernel of the human brain such a joke? It's capable of very limited multithreading, and multiprocessing is practically nonexistent. Context switches are extremely costly and conscious thought is often given little to no say in how resources are allocated. What would evolution write an OS that gives so little control and flexibility to the user?
