they are not "made" until an observation disturbs the system. if you don't make a measurement the particles are in superposition, hence 50:50 split

You have zero understanding of the stern gerlach experiment. As everyone keeps telling you the input is fixed, the measurement has already been made. Everything after that is determined so where and when you made a measurement after that is irrelevant. You have not defined the actions of the X and Z boxes
