The peak fertility window for women is <20 and now the average of first birth is almost 30. With that age increase abortion is pretty much required if we are to keep our population from filling up with downies, even though I very much degree with abortion.
Hopefully life extension technology works on women's reproductive system otherwise humanity will be heading straight for sterility.
