You rarely see more than this number of human-sized things with your eyes (like a big crowd at a concert or a protest). Most people also get lost in orders of magnitude when we go outside of ranges for most things. E.g. ten million dollars and hundred million dollars just sound like "millionaire numbers" to us despite one being 10 times bigger than the other.
