Of course white people have done terrible things, but so has every other race. Systemic issues do not exist because of one particular group. Yes, group in power are more to blame than group that don't have power, but you still can't say that literally all of the worlds problems are because of the whites, or the jews, or billionaires, or etc. That is a conspiracy theory.
The problem is that no group of people is willing to criticize themselves. no group of people is willing to examine their own biases and inconsistencies. For example, reading what I am saying right now, you will probably get pissed off at me and accuse me of being a nazi, an incel, etc. In reality, I am a leftist, and I probably agree with you on more issues than with you're average Trump supporter.
If anything there is more racism and bias against white people in academia today. Now if you are talking about electricians or plumbers or police officers, I'm sure those jobs lean conservative, but there are also industries that lean to the left. Academia and tech lean to the left, and anyone disputes this is either lying or they don't know what they're talking about.
If racial preferences and biases are wrong as a matter of principle, then they are wrong regardless of race. The guy you are replying to is obviously just trying to piss people off. I have never actually heard of any university admissions committee discriminating against the LGBT community, and if they did, then they would be instantly fired and sued. On the other hand, you literally can discriminate against white people in admissions, and well-known university professors have actually said things like all white people are racist and "white lives don't matter". Imagine if a white professor said "black lives don't matter". They would be fired and would never work again.
