Imaginary and/ or complex numbers are just plain useless. Nothing in reality can be presented with them. There is no i pie. But there can be pi pie.
Complex numbers can help in calculations. Its quite useful to break sine to two exponentials in mid way calculations, but in the end one has to sew it vack to real functions and values.
