Not everyone. I went to a lower ranked school and very few wanted to get to finance. Most of my peers just wanted to go to education. But yeah, any mathematician worth their salt looks to jump to finance.

When I started my math major I wanted to go into academics. Then I learned how little I'd get paid doing that vs how well I get paid working in finance.

Based and correct. I found this out early in undergrad, and the only interesting areas to me are military and finance. I'm basically in grad school for fun, but also because it makes getting a job way easier.
