If I tried to sell you a car, and you noted that the average assembly time for a vehicle was about 20 hours and the one you were buying was assembled in 2 hours, it would be completely reasonable for you to be hesitant about buying it.
And my bigger fear is the consequences of setting a precedent that the government can restrict an individual's access to a job, medical care, housing, food, etc "for the greater good". Today "the greater good" is getting vaccinated against a disease, tomorrow - who knows?
