At this point, my CS education feels like ground level baby stuff anyway. A third of my time is spent just talking to people about their issues like a therapist would. Building rapport, digging deep without it seeming like I am. Playing a little politics and figuring out what the REAL problems are, not the imagined ones. You can't outsource this. You need people inside a company who are consistently around for years, project after project. The outsource everything mindset is fundamentally unstable. Companies who keep nuclear teams of engineers in house will always do better in the long run. I'm not afraid.
