Meaning that the Earth bends space so that you are naturally moving in the direction of the center of its mass. Even energy is moved by gravity so light will bend due to gravity as well depending on how strong the gravity is.
Relatively speaking Gravity is weak compared to other natural forces that exist, like a small magnet can hold up a piece of metal against the entire gravity of the Earth. The reason you can jump is because gravity is not extraordinarily strong but it is strong enough to prevent you from flying without wings though.
The particles in the air are strong enough to hold a leaf up against gravity which is why leaves can fly in the air for a while before actually hitting the ground because they have a big surface area for the air to hold them up with.
