Are there universally haploid regions of the X-chromosome that could be used for haplogroup construction? In a similar manner as in the Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA.

I asked the same question some months ago, it is super interesting to see if you received your maternal grandfather or grandmother's X chromosome, and go back thousands of years if it works consistently.
Many people answered that it is not possible.

I guess it could be investigated by performing an inspection on multi-generationally related individuals and see if there's any consistency in some regions of the X-chromosome. especially in females as their X-chromosomes act more like an autosomes.

No, mitochondrial DNA is used precisely because you can't "track" the X chromosome like you can the Y. Obviously you could still try to group people based on their X's signature but it only works to the level of grouping people by their 1st or 2nd or Xth chromosome, the X has no special advantage in that case.

It's not possible. You can of course genetically test which one of your grandparents your X came from (if you are woman then it can come from any of them) but there's no rule on how it's passed on or how to track it backwards. It's simply random which of the X's your mother gives you.

Well are there any other regions in the human genome that do not recombinate like the mtDNA or Y-chromosome? Because if there are, those could be used to create clades and some new population phylogeny.

I chose the X-chromosome because I thought it could have these haploid properties in some regions as females deactivate the other X-chromosome. So wouldn't this make recombination between the two Xs less common?

The X still goes trough the normal mixing and switching during cell division in females so it's all fucked up by the time it goes out. There's probably some marginal advantage in using it over the basic chromosomes but at that point you aren't benefiting from the unique qualities of haplogroup analysis and are just doing basic genetic tracing.

I'm male, and approximately 75% of my X chromosome came from my maternal grandmother, while 25% came from my maternal grandfather (and by consequence, his mother.)
But I got other chromosomes completely from one of the other. 11, 14, and 19 from grandmother, and 18 and 20 from grandfather.
So it doesn't seem X has any particular advantage in that sense.
