there's been one made, sputnik; While it wouldn't work against bacteria like OP seems to think (Only bacteriophages would do that), it WOULD work to weaken or kill viruses.

there is no such thing as virophages. you are talking about bacterioophages. viruses taht attack bacteria. ohage is latin for eater, so bacterium eaters basically.
im sure they will be used eventually, but im not sure its a good idea get in the middle of that 4 billion year old arms war. viruses are very agressive when it comes to reproduction, they have high mutation rates and shor generations, so they evolve and change quickly, they are hard to get rid of, they express ther genes by inserting there dna into the hosts dna... all things considered its a dangerous idea.
