Introspection. Very useful on the long term. You get to know yourself more over time. Be critical and question your beliefs and behaviors,
I personally do sessions of deep introspection on DMT, you don't have to go that far nor do it in such a ritualistic manner.
What follows is pretty obvious, critical thinking. Question everything. I know that is a meme, but it's the best way to own yourself and not be a "sheep".
When I say "everything" I mean everything, both the Huffington Post and Alex Jones, both Deepak Chopra and Pfizer. But especially yourself.
Be rigorous in your analysis. Open minded, but critical. Learn some philosophy, political science, critical theory.
Stay away from pop-philo and pop-psychology like modern stoicism and everything JBP, unless you developped your critical skills enough to see through the bullshit.
Finally, creativity. Creativity is a skill that can be trained, just like a muscle. You just have to train it.
Find something, wether it be playing guitar, piano, drawing, 2d painting on photoshop, producing music on a DAW like FL Studio, writing stories.
So much more than this basic shit too. Into D&D or medieval whatever? Start world builing, making maps and creating a world for your game thing.
Into food? Learn to cook if you have not already, and start making some of your own recipes. Create new dishes that are just perfect for your own taste.
Like working with your hands? /DIY/. Build some furniture, make it fit with the interior design of your place. Get visual.
The point here is that you find a couple of things, maybe just one, but you stick with it. Do something you enjoy doing.
Most important thing here is that you put some of your own in it. Just go wild. Let your subconscious take the decisions.
It will probably be pretty bad. First guitar riffs will suck ass, first painting will look retarded. But it will be your retarded painting, that you created.
