Do this equation completely in your head

Write out the steps you used to come to your answer, but it all has to be in your head. No calculator or plotting it out on paper. I don't care if you get the right or wrong answer, I just want to see how you guys did it. Here is what I did:

>756,000 × 2
>( 7.6 × 2 ) == 162

>1,620,000 ( remember this while I solve the other equation )

>( 756 × 189 )
>( 756 × 200 ) == ( 162,000 - ( 756 × 10 == 7560 + 756 == 8316 ) )
> 162,000 - 8316
> 164,084
> + 1,620,000
>Final Answer 1,784,084

Bonus points if you did it using common core. I am convinced that they could do it better and faster than I could.
